Orthodontics impacts your health, appearance, and more.
Crooked, unevenly spaced, or misaligned teeth are harder to keep clean. This makes them more prone to tooth decay and periodontal disease.
Straight, properly aligned teeth are easier to keep clean and provide a more attractive appearance. A straight, healthy smile helps to boost self-esteem, self-confidence, and your self-image.
If you suffer from crooked, uneven, or misaligned teeth, orthodontic treatment can help.
The length of your orthodontic treatment will depend on your individual plan. During your consultation with Dr. Jolly or Dr. Morton, we will discuss your options. Once you select your treatment, we will estimate its length.
There are factors that can affect the duration of your treatment. Some of these include:
- Early Orthodontic Intervention: If you had early intervention, some steps have already been completed. This may shorten the time you need for this treatment.
- Type of Treatment: Depending on your needs, you may have braces, elastics, aligners, or other options. Which treatment you receive will affect its length.
- Compliance: Following our instructions will allow your treatment to work more quickly.
At Jolly and Morton Advanced Dentistry, we offer advanced solutions for your treatment. Depending on your needs, we may recommend:

ADOLESCENT ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT
Though orthodontic treatment can be effective at any age, the most common time for treatment to begin is during adolescence. Once teeth have fully grown in, any issues with alignment or spacing become more easily identified.
During your consultation with Dr. Jolly or Dr. Morton, we will evaluate your teen’s individual needs. Dr. Jolly or Dr. Morton will recommend an orthodontic treatment plan to provide optimal results in an efficient manner.
Your teen’s orthodontic treatment may include:
In every case, we will take time to fully discuss Dr. Jolly or Dr. Morton’s recommendations and your options. We will answer any questions or concerns you have before treatment begins.

ADULT ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT
Braces aren’t just for kids anymore. According to the American Association of Orthodontists, one in five orthodontic patients is over the age of 18. Tooth alignment can be changed at any age if your gums and bone structure are healthy. We offer a variety of treatments that are designed for different age groups – including adults. A new smile can begin today!
Orthodontic treatment at later stages in life can dramatically improve your personal appearance and self-esteem. Improving the health of your teeth and gums is equally important. Crooked teeth and a bad bite can contribute to gum and bone loss, tooth decay, abnormal wear of the tooth enamel and surfaces, headaches and jaw joint (TMJ/TMD) pain.
Good news! The new techniques and appliances we use greatly reduce discomfort levels, decrease the frequency of visits, shorten treatment time and may allow you to choose from several options.
During the initial examination, we will be able to determine the best possible treatment for your individual needs. During this initial examination, we can outline the treatment plan, time of treatment expected and the approximate cost.
A sizable percentage of our patients are adults, and they agree that it’s never too late to improve their greatest asset – their smile. For more information or to schedule your orthodontic consultation, contact our office.
